City Council Meeting

Today Christoher's All-Star Baseball Team was honored at our City Council Meeting. The Mayor gave each player a signed ball and recognized their accomplishments. These boys are heading out tomorrow to Tennessee for the National Youth Baseball Tournament. This is the first team from Louisiana to ever be invited to a competition at this level!

First Day of Kindergarten for Kevin

So I admit I was sad today as my little sidekick went off to Kindergarten. Kevin has always been by my side as I run in and out of stores or go to Andrew and Christopher's school for activities. I am going to look in the backseat for awhile making sure I didn't leave him somewhere :) I know he is fine at school and is so excited to be with Christopher and his new friends. However, this is a big transitional year for the Robinson boys. Andrew is in his last year of middle school, Christopher is in his last year of elementary school and Kevin is beginning elementary school. I am a little overwhelmed at how fast they have grown up. It is time to slow down and enjoy every minute of the craziness in our lives.

This is my favorite picture of the day. Christopher is walking Kevin into the school.

I found this picture of Christopher on his first day of Kindergarten. Andrew is walking Christopher into school many years ago.

And now Christopher is in his last year of elementary school. . . time is flying!!!!

Christopher's job in the mornings is to help raise the flag at school. We stopped and watched Christopher before going into the school for all the Kindergarten fun.

World Series Games on Webcast

The World Series games for Wed and Thurs will be on a webcast. Below is a link for the games. We play at 6pm against Tennessee. There are only four teams left: Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida. Just a side note - There is a tropical storm brewing in the gulf that may threaten the games tomorrow.

Louisiana State Champions

After winning the SubDistrict, District and North Regional Championships, we continued to play for the Louisiana State Championship. North vs. South Regions fought for the Louisiana State Championship and the North won! We are heading to Gonzales, Louisiana for the World Series this coming weekend. We will play Florida on Saturday at 3:30.

Here are a few pictures that I took after the championship game on Saturday.

The Shreveport National All Star team wore blue and orange. The purple and gold uniform and hats were given to them by the Dixie League to wear for the World Series.
