Fantastic Friday

I am actually blogging twice today. This has been such a Fantastic Friday for me. One big accomplishment is not having a diet coke for three days now. I have been drinking water and tea (mixture of black and green tea with jasmine). It is really making a difference on how I feel. I remember now why I stopped drinking water. I am continously having to go to the restroom :) That can get real annoying after awhile. But the benefits from water and tea out weigh the potty breaks.  

Today I had lunch with a good friend that I get to talk on the phone with and see at school functions. But we never get to sit and visit as adults. So we made a lunch date at the beginning of the week to have lunch together. It was a nice change of pace. We had lunch and then roamed the stores. I purchased a birthday gift for one of Kevin's friends. Other than that we enjoyed good conversation and window shopping. It was a rare occassion to slow down and enjoy the company of a good friend without children around.

Then off to pick up kids from school. The boys were in a great mood and having a Fantastic Friday with all the fun activities at school. Christopher dressed up for crazy sock and shirt day, Kevin dressed up for Spider Day and Andrew enjoyed receiving Boo Bags from friends (girls :) - don't tell him I said that or he will get me).

Christopher went to Movie and Pizza Night at church tonight. They watched Facing the Giants. This is one of our favorite movies in our house. Although watching it with your friends and some of your football team takes on a new meaning. Christopher came home fired up for his last football game tomorrow.


We have to be at Kevin's football game at 7:15am tomorrow. He does not want to go to sleep but Andrew agreed to scratch his back and stay in his room until he goes to sleep. So they are in Kevin's bed right now. Kevin loves his big brother. We often go to wake up Kevin for school and he is in Andrew's bed asleep. After having such an early morning, Kevin has a 7:00pm birthday/Halloween party to go to. I think I see a nap in his future tomorrow (that means an agrument between the two of us too).

Andrew will go with Daniel to deliver inflatables tomorrow morning. Andrew LOVES to deliver inflatables and work parties at the building. It will be a great day when Andrew can drive and deliver inflatables!

This weekend is going to be one of the best In The Zone has had since we started three years ago. Lots of inflatables on Saturday plus parties at the Indoor Jump Zone. On Sunday, all our rentals are rented out. We are doing a couple of church carnivals and some individual rentals. It is really busy but really fun to watch the busy grow. Please continue to pray for growth and success! Daniel is also fundraising for a local nonprofit and event planning for them.

Now it is time to go lay all the uniforms out and pack an ice chest for tomorrow. Daniel has all the inflatables loaded and ready to go. So good night from the Robinson Family!

What's Been Going On With The Robinson Family

I can not believe I have not posted something on this blog since August. We have been so busy with the beginning of school and starting the indoor place with In The Zone. I am going to try to blog more but please do not judge my writing because I am going to be typing fast and not doing much editing. Time is precious in our family these days. I moved the computer out of our bedroom because I was spending too much time on it. We have moved it into the dining room. The dining room has now been turned into the "workroom". The boys use the dining room table as their homework and project table.  We use the table as our "work project" table and Daniel will use it for his laptop at night. And the computer desk and computer are used by all the family for work and homework. Besides the kitchen this room is the most used in the house. We figured we were not throwing any big dinner parties these days and our family primarily needs the room for functionality. So this is the stage of our life now (which is busy but I love!) When we do have friends over we are usually hanging out in the kitchen or on the patio while the kids play outside.

Well the first nine weeks of school is over and we have begun the 2nd nine weeks. The boys are doing great in school and staying busy with sports. Christopher and Kevin are both playing football, Andrew is running Cross Country (last meet yesterday) and playing Fall Baseball (Daniel coached his team and it just ended) and swimming competively again. Football will end this weekend for Christopher and Kevin. We will have a break from sports for a little while. Andrew will continue to swim each week, run 5ks on the weekends and all three will begin basketball soon.

Christopher has taken an interest in music. He is in his school choir and practices each week during school and after. He also chose to sing in our church choir. He is now preparing for a few Christmas play performances. He will be the child at the end of each play that says a pray along with singing during the play. He loves the church choir so much that he chose to only go to football practice once a week and miss the 2nd football practice for choir practice. Christopher is also in his last year of Cub Scouts. He just went on a Cub Scout Camp Out. The had a great time sleeping outdoors. Christopher's other big news is attending Open House for middle school next year. He will test in Febuary to go to the middle school Andrew is at right now.

Andrew will attend the CE Byrd High School Open House this Sunday. Can you believe we will have children in high school, middle school and elementary next year? Andrew is having a great time in 8th grade this year. He begins the process for braces next week. He has to get four baby teeth pulled on Monday and then Thursday he will get his spacers and then back for the set of braces in two weeks.

Kevin is busy with learning to read in Kindergarten. It amazes me what they learn in Kindergaren now. Kindergarten is no longer play and color. It is serious learning now! He is loving going to school with Christopher this year. It is fun to see Kevin with his new friends. He absolutely loves playing football and can not wait until basketball begins. We are now dividing and conquering trying to get three children to school, sports and church activities. Kevin has an exciting day at school today- it's Spider Day today. They have been studying spiders in school and will celebrate all their knowledge by dressing up in black. Daniel and I made breakfast for his class. We made Sausage Mummies.
